Peg Leg Campground is near the Town of Borrego Springs, California. RVers come
to make a free camp in Peg Leg.
Much of Anza-Borrego State Park is open to dune buggies and ATVs.
However, ATVs are not permitted in Peg Leg. This is a good thing for RVers because
campers in Peg Leg are protected from the noise and dust of ATVs.

There are many sites for adventuresome RVers to boondock in the Anza-Borrego Park. However,
most RVers seem to be more comfortable making their camps where other RVers are close by.
Peg Leg Smith came to the desert in the mid-1800s. There are stories about Smith
still being circulated by campers even today!
