Tuesday, April 25, 2006: 8AM - View of the Virgin at morning. Mavicito discovered a new mode while reading his manual. It is called Landscape and pics are supposed to come out brighter using this mode.
After this pic is published, we are heading up to Zion National Park.

10AM - Zion National Park. It is an absolutely gorgeous morning in Zion National Park. We have paid to stay in South Campground for four days. $8/day, $32 total with our Golden Age 50% discount.
Mr. Sunny is in the sunshine. Mr. Datastorm has found his Space Station Uplink. Wow!

4PM - What is Zion National Park. We do not believe that Zion can be described to you. The canyon walls are too tall. The colors too vivid. Much too wonderful for words. Every sight that you see, every single one, is a miracle. A heavenly place. Close to God.
Little Mavicito and George walked a mile up the canyon from our campground. We caught the free shuttle bus, and went all the way to the end of the road. From there we walked a couple of miles on the paved trail called Riverside Walk. The quickly moving Virgin River flowed by us. How could we decide what thing of beauty to share with you?
The panorama pic below does not do justice to this place. For one thing, it does look tall enough. Not by several hundred feet. But what can you do with a place that cannot be described? Even with a camera?

Zion is an oasis in the desert. The canyon is filled with trees, flowers and grass. Water flows right out of the walls! The pic below was taken on our Riverside Walk hike. Water dripping down the rock wall formed a pool.

6PM - Walking around Camp. You know that Little Mavicito cannot just sit still. He has to go out and take pics. Especially in a place such as Zion Park.
