How long can MsTioga last?
In February, 2007, we on the TiogaRV Team decided to give MsTioga a fiberglass and paint job [link]. We did not know then, that the fiberglass job which included a new fiberglass roof, was essential for extending MsTioga's life. During our visit to Israel in May/June 2008, MsTioga remained on the coast of the Yucatan Peninisula. Tropical storms occurred while we were gone. Without the new fiberglass roof and wall corners, there is little doubt that MsTioga would have suffered much moisture damage.
The TiogarRV Team members now believe, that MsTioga can last forever. Even with our relatively small income, replacing an engine is feasible. So is a complete interior renovation. In the note below is an advisory from our Fleetwood Tioga Arrow manual. However, this advisory has been over done as far as MsTioga is concerned.
After 18 years of service, six years of these fulltime, MsTioga is looking great!
10AM - Exercising Little Honda.
Our Little Honda 1KW generator had not been operated in over a month. Time to give Honda some exercise! However, when Honda was powered up, the Xantrex remote control unit went berserk and was blinking like crazy! The Honda sends electric power to a Xantrex Freedom 2000 watt inverter/charger [link]. Something was causing the remote unit to misbehave!
Perhaps when our battery bank received its annual maintenance last week something was not reconnected properly? The computer workstation desktop was disassembled to reveal the Xantrex inverter including the wiring to the remote. Nothing seemed to be out of order. Caig DeoxIT [link] was sprayed on the cable ends connecting the inverter to its remote. Voila! The remote began operating again! Wow!
Showing access below computer desktop.
The pic above was taken to show how the desktop panels are removed to gain access to the equipment and electrical wiring below. Our Little Mavicita [camera] could not take a pic showing all that we wanted you to see. So, a panorama pic was taken consisting of four separate shots. This pano-pic increased the side-to-side and top-to-bottom of the scene.
We use Autostitch [link] to take these pano-pics.
7PM - Nite Camped behind the circus.
We have made our Nite Camp behind the circus again, a short walk from our usual Little River Camp. It is very quiet here. Good for sleeping.
